Trauma is Dead. And we know it. Last week our show "Trauma" achieved it's lowest ratings yet. BLAME NBC and Jay Leno you want for the show's crappy ratings. But, in the end it's not their fault. If the show has really an audience - people will watch no matter what time is it or how heavily it got promoted.
Sending petition and letters, let's face it, doesn't work anymore. Network just don't listen to people. Trauma cost about 3 million to produce (each episode) and the show averaged only 1.8/4 ratings in 18-49 (the most important demo share) to date. NBC lost a lot of money for this (really good) show. NBC ordered 10 drama pilots for next year and renewing "Trauma" is a long long shot.
Breakdown:
Ratings: "Trauma" performed less than stellar since it's premiere, placing constantly 4th in it's time slot. Though, the show increased versus reruns - but still ranked fourth in both viewers and 18-49 ratings. GRADE: 1/10
Fandom: You don't see a lot of "Trauma" fans in the internet, they're one in a million. I think there's 2 or 3 devoted fansites of "Trauma: including this site. This show has few solid fans. Grade: 2/10
Money: One of the most expensive show to produce this TV Season - with the accidents and explosions. And that ain't cheap! Cutting down the production cost won't help the show survival chance either. Grade: 1/10
DVR: "Trauma" is not the most dvr'd show around either. Grade: 1/10
Conclusion: Trauma Survival chance less than 10%
7 more episodes (as of March 29, 2009) are left to air, and the ratings improvement for this show is far from happening. Seems NBC gave up too. It's sad for me to admit this but TRAUMA is really dead after it's 20th episode air on May 20, 2010.
So Trauma fans out there- Enjoy the things the show have left to offer!
